You Can Make it Any Where

So we spent Wednesday in New York City.  We started with a ride in through the Holland Tunnel which the boys found to be amazing that the tunnel was surrounded by water.

Then we caught a circle line around the island so we could see the statue of liberty (under construction so not worth the ride to the island) and the new freedom tower (which is at its full height but not complete).

Then we headed to the Empire State building.  We looked out from the observation deck, rode to the top of the 'spaceship' as William calls it.

Then we headed to the Heartland Brewery for a snack.  Boy did we get lucky.  No sooner were we in our seats when the heavens opened up and the wind came whipping down the street in true Oklahoma fashion.

The best part by far was seeing my Maid of Honor and best friend Robyn.  I hate having her so far away. Rob even let me stay the night sans kids in NYC with her.  We went and grabbed a little food and wine and just got to talk...uninterrupted.
