So we spent Wednesday in New York City. We started with a ride in through the Holland Tunnel which the boys found to be amazing that the tunnel was surrounded by water.
Then we caught a circle line around the island so we could see the
statue of liberty (under construction so not worth the ride to the
island) and the new freedom tower (which is at its full height but not
complete).
Then we headed to the Empire State building. We looked out from the observation deck, rode to the top of the 'spaceship' as William calls it.
Then we headed to the Heartland Brewery for a snack. Boy did we get lucky. No sooner were we in our seats when the heavens opened up and the wind came whipping down the street in true Oklahoma fashion.
The best part by far was seeing my Maid of Honor and best friend Robyn. I hate having her so far away. Rob even let me stay the night sans kids in NYC with her. We went and grabbed a little food and wine and just got to talk...uninterrupted.

West Point
Rob and I have been married nearly 15 years. Shhhh...it's a secret. We took the kids up to West Point to climb on the rocks and just see the place. They have been before, but the older two were pretty little. Plus, who wouldn't want to escape to the hills on a hot day in New Jersey. We had a blast. The boys ran around irreverently at Trophy Point. We tried to talk about the monuments, but all they could concentrate on were the big 'guns' and pretending to fire at the enemy coming up the river.
We did take them to see the chapel where we were married. Anthony actually took two great pictures of Rob and I. It is amazing the difference 15 years makes.
