So, I had this brilliant idea to start the St Patty's Day season (and yes in Savannah it is a season complete with a day off from school) by attending the greening of the fountain in Forsyth in Historic Savannah. The green fountain is way cool; the greening of the fountain is not. It is run by old men who have begun to believe their own press. There are like 70 people they want to introduce at 1215 when my kids just want lunch and to play at the park.
Lesson learned: Start next year with visiting the ALREADY green fountain then playing at the park.
